Microneeding At Azalea Med Spa

At Azalea Med Spa, microneedling is one of our most trusted treatments for improving texture, tone, and overall skin quality. This collagen-stimulating procedure works beneath the surface to smooth fine lines, soften acne scars, minimize pores, and restore a healthy glow.

What is Microneeding?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that uses fine, medical-grade needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. These tiny channels stimulate your body’s natural healing response, increasing collagen and elastin production.

The result?
Stronger, smoother, more resilient skin—naturally.

What Microneedling Treats

Microneedling is ideal for addressing:

  • Fine lines and early wrinkles
  • Acne scars and textural irregularities
  • Enlarged pores
  • Sun damage
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Crepey or thinning skin
  • Mild skin laxity

It’s suitable for most skin types and can be performed on the face, neck, chest, and other areas needing rejuvenation.

Why We Love It

Microneedling is subtle but powerful. Rather than masking concerns, it encourages your skin to function the way it did years ago—producing the collagen that keeps it firm and luminous.

At Azalea, we take a thoughtful approach, customizing depth, technique, and supportive serums based on your unique skin goals.

What to Expect

During Treatment:
A topical numbing cream is applied for comfort. The procedure typically takes 30–60 minutes depending on the treatment area.

After Treatment:
You may experience mild redness and sensitivity for 24–72 hours—similar to a light sunburn. Most clients return to normal activities the next day.

Results:
You’ll begin to notice smoother texture and improved radiance within a few weeks, with continued improvement as collagen rebuilds over the next 4–6 weeks.

For optimal results, a series of treatments is often recommended.

Microneedling + Advanced Enhancements

For elevated results, microneedling can be paired with:

  • Growth factor serums

  • PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)

  • Targeted corrective skincare

Is It Time to Move Beyond Topicals?

Professional treatments like microneedling are often the next step when products alone no longer deliver the change you’re looking for. If you’re noticing texture changes, deeper lines, or lingering acne scars, this treatment may offer the renewal your skin needs.

Begin with a Complimentary Consultation

Beautiful skin is built intentionally. We invite you to schedule a complimentary consultation at Azalea Med Spa to determine whether microneedling is right for you.

Together, we’ll create a plan that restores confidence, refines texture, and enhances your natural beauty—thoughtfully and expertly.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is microneedling safe for all skin types?

Microneedling is generally safe for all skin types and tones. However, it may not be recommended if you have active acne, eczema, or other skin conditions that could be irritated by the microneedling device. Our expert providers will ask about your medical profile to help you determine if microneedling is safe for you.

At-home microneedling devices may help you achieve modest improvements in the texture of your skin. However, professional devices use a precision stamping motion to create a much larger number of precise micro-punctures for more dramatic results. Skillful treatment application by an aesthetic professional also supports more lasting, beautiful outcomes.

Microneedling is a non-invasive procedure with a relatively low risk of adverse side effects. However, there is a small risk of skin irritation or exacerbation of existing conditions such as cold sores, eczema, or acne. It is not recommended that you have microneedling during an active flare of an existing condition.

Microneedling can be combined with a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment to further boost your skin’s rejuvenating powers. A small sample of your blood is taken and then processed to create a growth-factor-rich solution that is applied to your skin directly after microneedling. If you are interested in adding PRP to your microneedling session, your Azalea aesthetic specialist can help you decide on the best treatment for your needs.

We also offer dermaplaning, a treatment that uses a medical-grade scalpel to precisely and gently plane the epidermis to remove peach fuzz and effectively exfoliate your skin. Ask about adding dermaplaning to your microneedling procedure or having it performed as a stand-alone treatment for smooth, exfoliated skin. You will notice an immediate improvement in the smoothness and softness of your skin, and makeup will go on more easily and uniformly.
